Ramadan "Sajian Desa" Buka Puasa at Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur 2015 #Ramadhan #Ramadan

In this Holy Month of Ramadan, if you are looking for a place with great tasting "halal" local Malaysian fare look no further than the Seri Pacific Kuala Lumpur located beside the Putra World Trade Centre.

With their "Sajian Desa" inspired spread, guest can be assured of some great tasting  traditional fare that will bring memories of your kampung.

Zende Restaurant 10

A local Ghazal band sets the tone with some sweet traditional tunes as you enter and will play all night long to accompany you on your buka puasa experience

To Start of there are enough appetisers  to wet your appetite, such as Sambal Belacan, Cencaloj, Budu, Tempoyak Cili, Sambal Nenas, Sambal Mangga and Sambal Gesek.

For those who like to go really traditional choices of Kerabu and Ulam-Ulam Kampung such as Kacang Botol, Pegaga, Ulam Raja, Daun Kodok and Paku Rawan are also available.

The Roast Lamb section remains to be the most sought after section at all buffets and it's no different here. Get ready to taste one of the most succulent lamb here, It was nice, moist and tender. If you want the more crispy and well done part all you need to do is ask. One of our reviewer had 4 portions of the lamb and she was just 12 years old!

The Nasi Kandar was another popular section with all the usual accompanyments like  Fried Chicken, Sotong, Fried Egg and others.

Another popular tasty dish was the chicken nasi beriyani gam

It was no surprise that many headed for the section with the Mamak Mee and Kuey Teow as looking at it made many mouths water.

The must try Malay dishes at the Seri Pacific Buka Puasa buffet fare include the Lemang & Rendang, Ikan bakar, Ikan Pari, The Ayam Percik, Serunding, Satay, Tiger Prawns, Sotong, Sambal Ikan Bilis and the Kari Kepala Ikan

The prawns were my personal favourite as i must have had a dozen at least as it just melted in your mouth.

For those who like less spicy there were other dishes that were also available

The Roti Jala and Murabak with chicken curry is also a must try

The pizza were quite good too.

Many Muslims now days love to break their fast with Seafood and Japanese dishes,  here you will find the freshest salmon and tuna sashimi, Oysters, Crayfish, Baby Octopus, Tempura, Prawns and Mussels.

Asian influenced cuisine like a variety of Dim Sum dishes and Shawarma were also available.

The Live Cooking stations included The Rojak, Laksa , Ekor Goreng, Pasta, Lok Lok and The Ikan Bakar Sections

The  brave and adventurous guest headed to the soup gear box section. The Soup Gear box came in a dish so huge, that one reviewer just sat stunned for a minute!

Of course they cannot be a buka puasa buffet without the  Bubur Lambuk and it was very well done at the Seri Pacific.

After having your main courses, you will surely be tempted by the traditional kampung inspired desserts, You can find popular cakes such as Red Velvet and a variety of seasonal fruits including Banana's,  Nangka, Rambutan, Jambu Air, Langsat, Salak and Duku. Ice Kacang or ABC section is also available.

They also had some great tasting Bubur Kacang Hijau with Durian, Pulut Hitam, Bubur Kacang Merah and Bubur Jagung and pulut, The Ice Cream Section was also a popular section.

Guest can quench their thirst with refreshing and sweet tasting Air Bandung, Teh Ais Limau, Soya Bean and many other flavours of cold drinks.  if you prefer hot drinks coffee and tea are also available

Chef Saad and his team are on hand to make sure all dishes taste authentic and consistently good Only the freshest ingredients are used. At the Seri Pacific to minimise wastage they don't simply dump all the food at the buffet counters but pre-preparation is done to put out the fare little by little depending on guest demands for every dish,

The General Manager Mr. Halim Merican and his management ares always around to greet guest and make sure they are well taken care. The staff here are very accommodating and if you require anything all you will need to do is just ask.

Overall the reviewers has some great tasting fare in a nice cosy atmosphere. We were well looked after and could not want for anything more. After the buka puasa, we sat a while letting the food digest as most of us over ate!. Seri Pacific paid more ephasis on taste than over all else.

In order to ensure more people are able to enjoy the buka puasa buffet spread the five star Seri Pacific hotel has come up with two price plans for its Sajian Desa Buka Puasa Offering.
