TEMUAN TAKDIR Wins ‘Best New Director’ and ‘Best Original Score’
at the Los Angeles Film Awards 2016

Malaysian film, TEMUAN TAKDIR (Meeting Fate) by First-time Director-Producer, Dhyan Vimal, has successfully bagged two awards in December 2016; the ‘Best New Director’ Award was presented to Dhyan Vimal and ‘Best Original Score’ Award to Krishinthen Shanmugam at the Los Angeles Film Awards.



Trusted by the World’s Leading Festivals, the Los Angeles Film Festival is an IMDb qualifying monthly film competition for filmmakers worldwide. It celebrates the excellence of filmmaking and provides an international platform for more than 300, 000 filmmakers and artists worldwide.

Starring Dato’ Zahim Albakri, Vanidah Imran, Azura Zainal, Thanuja Ananthan, Ery Zukhairi, Amai Kamaruddin, Malieq Abdullah and Kiranjit Kaur, TEMUAN TAKDIR is a 90-minute action drama which revolves around love, family and the sacrifice of two sibling policemen who investigate a robbery case.

Award-winning Director-Producer, Dhyan Vimal, who is also the Founder-Chairman of international non-profit organisation, Friends to Mankind, said, “An effort that is done to uplift another, is the greatest act possible to celebrate humanity. This art work is an act of that.”

Previously, TEMUAN TAKDIR 
-was awarded ‘Best New Filmmaker’ at the 2016 Chandler International Film Festival, ‘
-Best Humanitarian Award’ by THEMODCON London Film Festival 2016, 
-‘Award of Recognition’ by Accolade Global Film Competition USA, 
-nominated ‘Semi Finalist’ at Los Angeles Cine Fest 2016 
-was honoured on the ‘Official Selection’ lists of four international film festivals.

 The film was recently screened at Idylwild Film Festival in California.
