Malaysian artist threaten to boycott Kollywood cricket event

A CELEBRITY cricket match organised by the Tamil Nadu-based South Indian Artistes’ Association (SIAA) will be boycotted by Malaysian Indian artistes if the event does not benefit them, Tamil dailies reported.
The event, which will see celebrities from the Tamil cinema industry playing a friendly cricket match in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 6, is reportedly being organised to raise funds for the SIAA.
E. Vijay, speaking on behalf of local Indian artistes, said since SIAA would profit from its event here, it should include more local talent or they would boycott the match.

The country has long faced issues with child malnutrition.
Among its neighbours in the region, only Pakistan and Afghanis­tan ranked worse, while Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh did better.
